Here’s a fun freebie that can help teachers delve into the world of interactive task cards. Teachers, you will need to create an account with Boom Learning to use these cards, but you can start off with a free membership to see how you like it.

This deck will teach students about the papyrus plant in Ancient Egypt. Slides with reading passages alternate with comprehension questions including true-or-false, fill-in-the-blank, multiple-choice and matching activities.

New to Boom Cards?

Boom cards are interactive task cards, designed to be used on devices. Our decks include reading passages followed by interactive comprehension questions. Students read the passage, answer the question, and get immediate feedback. There are gaming elements to the slides, like tings and whoops sounds, that can be turned on or off, and if an answer is incorrect, the student gets another chance to get it right. Teachers who have a membership can see their student’s progress, although you don’t need a membership to use the fast play mode.
